Play Clay doesn't make a flaky mess, Doesn't stain clothing or carpet, Is softer and more pliable, Is non-toxic, Tastes yucky so kids won't eat it, Comes in bright colors, Develops a childs attention span, Develops fine motor skills and it smells great!
Play Clay will outlast any dough you can buy or make at home if you follow a few simple suggestions:
1. Air takes moisture out of anything. If you keep your play clay wrapped in plastic (when it's not being played with) it will last and last. If you store play clay in a plastic container we suggest you press a piece a plastic on top of the dough to keep it airtight.
2. Play Clay is water soluable so you can add water to the dough to make it softer. If you add too much water just air dry the dough until it firms up.
3. The cooler you keep Play Clay the longer the scent will last. Play Clay can be stored in the fridge (or the freezer for up to 1 year. It won't freeze and will still retain it's scent).
4. If Play Clay is left out overnight and gets crusty, don't throw it away! Just need the dry parts into the soft dough and add water if you need to. Wrap it up in a plastic bag and let it sit for awhile. The dough will soften back up.
5. If Play Clay gets into the carpet. Don't worry! All you need to do is take a damp cloth and wipe it out. If it has dried in the carpet, scrape it out with a butter knife and wipe with a damp cloth. It's that easy.
6. Play Clay will artistically mix. For example, Red + Blue = Purple, Blue + Yellow = Green and Red + Yellow = Orange.
7. A crafty idea: If you Play Clay has lost it's pretty color because it lasted so long, you can roll the play clay on a cookie sheet (about 1/4 inch thick). Use clay cutters to make pretty shapes. Use a straw to poke a whole in each shape. Let air dry for a few weeks and when the shapes are dry you can paint them and use ribbon to hang them up. A great activity to do with the kids.
