Chocolate Cow Tales® Popcorn Recipe

Satisfy your chocolate craving with this delicious and easy recipe for chocolate caramel popcorn made with Goetze's Chocolate Cow Tales®.


  • 12 Chocolate Cow Tales®
  • 1/2 cup corn kernels
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 (1 stick) cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons sea salt (optional)



Unwrap and chop the Chocolate Cow Tales® in to peanut-sized bits and set aside. Line a cookie sheet with wax paper and set aside. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees.

Melt butter in a medium saucepan. Stir in the sugar until it melts. Stir in the corn syrup and cocoa. Bring the mixture to a boil over the lowest possible heat setting. Stirring frequently, allow the mixture to boil for 5 minutes.

Remove the sauce from the heat and stir in the vanilla. Pour half of the chocolate sauce over the popcorn. Toss the popcorn, then add the remainder of the mixture, and toss the popcorn again. Spread the popcorn on cookie sheet and salt to taste. Sprinkle the Chocolate Cow Tales® bits on top.

Bake for 15 minutes. Remove and toss the popcorn. Let the popcorn cool for 10 minutes and toss again. The popcorn will stick together as it cools. Break apart any clumps and continue to toss, as needed, to prevent the chocolate caramel from settling to the bottom of the pan. Serve when completely cool.
